Welcome to the Harpenden Arts Club!
The Harpenden Arts Club aims to provide a wide range of creative workshops, demonstrations, life drawing and studio practice evenings, as well as a sociable meeting point for artists of all abilities. We meet most Thursday evenings at 7.30 - 9.30 pm in the small public hall, Southdown Road, Harpenden, AL5 1PD.

ANNUAL ART EXHIBITION - 8th - 11th November 2018
The Harpenden Arts Club celebrated its 60th Annual Art Exhibition in November at the Harpenden Public Halls, which was a sparkling success and great fun!
An amazing 68 artworks were sold, a 21% increase by number on last year. Total sales of artworks and greetings cards came in at just over £7,000, which is the best result for quite a few years.
The "Best in Show" public vote result was as follows:

3rd place: "Trebarwith Strand, early morning light" by Sarah Poppleton

There were so many excellent artworks at the exhibition. Here are a few of them:
We are a sociable and creative group of people who enjoy learning new art techniques and sharing ideas. We have over 130 members and a strong committee of nine enthusiastic individuals who, along with many willing helpers, organise and run the activities.

hac rOLLING EXHIBITION AT ROTHAMSTED
The exhibition is a rolling display of art from Harpenden Arts Club members, which is changed every couple of months. It is in the Conference Centre restaurant of the Rothamsted Centre for Research and Enterprise in Harpenden (AL5 2JQ). The restaurant is open to the public for lunches and homemade cakes, pastries, tea and coffee, and is open 8.30am – 4.30pm Monday to Thursday, and 8.30am – 4pm on Fridays, and is popular with walkers and for sociable group meetings. There is plenty of free parking behind the conference centre.
Harpenden Arts Club has now published a data protection policy in line with the new General Data Protection Regulations.
